Hello steemian friend. How are you today? Hopefully always in good condition.
My activity today is to observe the Primary Canal of an irrigation flowed by water from the Krueng Tuan River in a district of North Aceh Indonesia.
What are the goals to go there? We observe the feasibility of building the channel whether it is still feasible or not. Our activities were accompanied by a farm officer we used to call Water Handler (in Indonesian Pawang Air). A water handler is in charge of controlling the flow of water that flows freely from the dam and arranging the open/close water door schedule at the dam to the rice fields.
This primary canal is quite old since it was built in 1983, and has undergone only a few repairs to be rehabilitated on parts that have been damaged quite badly.
Our observation today that on this canal has been very much experiencing damage, and in our opinion, the main culprit is its age is very old, which is in our country based on literature generally on planning a construction planned service life of five years. This canal should be rejuvenated by the end of service, but in reality, this canal to this day still serves the farmers of the need for water in their fields.
The conclusion we can take based on regulation of minister of public works and public housing that this canal has to be improved thoroughly is to replace the old primary canal with the new.
Here's my experience today, I hope you enjoy reading it.
