Good day Steemians,I trust you all had a great weekend, and happy new week, may this week be full of great accomplishments.
For today, I'm going to explain to you all about The differences between objectivism and constructivism.

In the era where students centered classroom environment is highly advocated, the traditional concept of objectivism is still in hand, seen as a failure in reacting the objective of successful student, objectivism was been criticized as being too authoritarian and tend to ignore the students capability and creativity. Teacher has been regarded as the center of the classroom, The “Mr. Know-how” and the primary source of knowledge. Any attempt how the students to do or practice their own activities is neglected simply put teacher is the only decision maker
Constructivism, on the other hand, emphasizes on the natural ability of the students to think, and to gather as much information as they can through observation. The ability to manipulate human sense is important for the students in order to learn. It is also said that constructivism advocated ” learning though experience” a way in which students are let alone to discover, to observe and to interpret any form of knowledge given.

The emphasis on communication skill is another winning point of constructivism. Here students are encouraged to gain knowledge trough communications and they are also taught that communicating is one of the best ways of learning. Furthermore, constructivism has been credited as an approach that helps students to be independent and not too relying on teacher to learn something. The role of a teacher in constructivism is more to be a facilitator and a guide in the learning process. In other word, teacher is viewed as the person who will show the path of learning and the rest is up to the students to carry on.

Prior to the previous point, a teacher is also seen as the “manager” of his/her classroom. As a manager, he is responsible to give the correct direction to ensure the students are learning and maximizing their potential, “Potential” is another key word in constructivism, where it is believed that one should be able to enhance their potential though knowledge discovery, that through learning process itself, the power mild will be increased.

To conclude one must realize that the world is changing. The need to have a more competitive and advanced thinker society is somewhat serious. There is nothing more important than having a very good educational approach towards realizing the noble dreams.

That's all for today. Hope my article is useful for you all.
