Here's my question. Is it a possibly that people keep pushing conspiracies because even if they spoke about one, or shared it on social media, and then subsequently realized that it was untrue, they won't make any corrections because of typical human nature, and not wanting to admit that we are wrong? I always wondered about this.

Sort:  

It is hard to admit that we are wrong especially when our core beliefs are in questions. A good way to start would be to realize that our value will still be high and amazing if we change our opinion about something. Some people identify themselves with what they believe and think too strong and can get pretty hurt when that illusion is broken and labels removed.
