Agricultural Robots (Agbots)
Robots in agriculture include the following
THE ORACLE ROBOT
The oracle robot is a sheep shearing robot. During shearing operations, the sheep is retrained firmly by holding it's legs and it's head in a manipulator called the ARAMP. The arm is directed by complex motion control algorithms which maintain the cutter at a predefined height above sheep's skin.
THE MILKING ROBOT
The milking robot allow cows to choose how often they are milked each day. A milking robot identifies the cow, usually by an electronic tag and determines if the cow is to be milked. Once a cow has been approved for milking process when milking is completed,the milk is measured and pumped out. All milking information is saved in the robot's computer system.
THE TREEBOT ROBOT
the treebot is a tree climbing robot that has high maneuverability on an irregular tree environment and surpasses the state of the art tree climbing robots. Treebot's body is a novel continuous maneuver structure that has high degree of freedom and superior extension ability.
FOREST ROBOT
the forest robot is a remotely controlled robot that is capable of scouting a forest environment and taking high resolution images that it finds. It can roam for about one hour, with a transmitting video camera and a remote control range over 1000 feet in a dense forest.
THE FRUIT PICKING ROBOT
The fruit picking robot is a fruit harvesting robot. It pick ripe fruits without damaging the branches or leaves of the tree. The robot can distinguish between fruit and leaves by using video image capturing .
THE FLYING ROBOT
These robots are used to scout battlefields, search for victims trapped in rubble and record images in agriculture fields. The micro robot consist of propeller by which it can fly to heights.
STRAWBERRY PICKING ROBOT
This robot helps to identify the strawberries that are ready for harvesting. It uses camera to detect the colour and ripeness of strawberries and harvests them by stripping the stalks, so it doesn't damage the fruits.
DEMETER ROBOT ( THE ROBOT FARMER)
Demeter is a robot that cut crops like wheat and alfalfa. It can drive by itself without human supervision. It has cameras that can detect the difference between the crop that has been cut and crop yet to cut.
THE HORTIBOT ROBOT
The hortibot robot is used in lawns. A wire is usually layed along the garden and connected to the perimeter switch. It operates electrically in rechargeable batteries, mulching blades and whisper quite operation. No fumes or oil leaked no pollution.
THE AGROBOT ROBOT
It is also a robotic harvesting machine for strawberry harvesting. It is a construction of visualization technology which guides a rubber lied basket to red ripened strawberry fruit and removes it in a shifting motion from the pedicel into a small round razor buttoned to one side of the basket.
THE PLANTER ROBOT
The planter robot is a robot used for planting seeds. It walks around the farm and deposit seeds in the soil. It can be normal but large robot with a seed dispenser on the back. It is usually programmed depending on the plant to space the seed in a row.
THE CROP SCOUT ROBOT
The crop scout robot can be used for varieties of task, such as weeding and spraying pesticides in trails the robot reduced the amount of pesticide used by 98% by only applying it to areas that needed it.
THE SHEAR MAGIC ROBOT
The shear magic robot is a robot developed to improve on oracle robot. The shear magic robot operates from above the animal rather from the side as the oracle system.
FIELD FURROW MOBILE ROBOT
The field furrow robot provides maintenance in the environment in which vegetables are planted.
GRAFTING ROBOT
The grafting robot is used to increase the speed of grafting at a speed of 600-800 grafts per hour (speed equivalent of 5-6 skilled workers for cucurbit, and 2-3 skilled workers for tomato) but require about two workers and one trained worker to inspect the grafting quality.
LSU's REVOLUTIONARY AGBOT ROBOT
This robot is a multi - purpose robot for home use. It is environmentally friendly acre machine containing a seed dispenser, high - torque auger, fertilizer tank and remote control capabilities.
AUTONOMOUS ROBOTIC TRACTOR
The self steering robotic tractor uses GPS and a raft of smart sensors to drive over farmland.
To make a robotractor work, the machine must observe it's position, make decisions and decide speed and orientation much like a human.
LETITUCE BOT ROBOT
Lettuce bot is a robotic terminator, targeting and selectively killing weeds in sight with 98% accuracy.
CHICKEN DEBONING ROBOT
The chicken deboning robot is used in slicing meat from born faster and more efficiently than any human can. It uses it's robotic hand and knife that can see in 3 - D ad sense when and how to cut up each individual chicken.
ROBO BEES ROBOTS
The robotic bees make use of artificial intelligence by building models of the systems in the brain that govern a honey bee's vision and sense of smell. The robot also flies and is able to act as autonomously as a bee.
If Nigeria as a nation fail to deploy these Agricultural Robots and other machineries in our agricultural system, we will continue to produce low output of production. Most developed countries today, have all of these put in place that's why they produce surplus food for all.
Please Nigerians let's expedite effort on persuading our leaders to tilt towards agricultural sector, we need massive agricultural technology to boast our productions. We are tired of drudgery and low output.

Well that was interesting. Not a fan of robots myself. They taking away jobs from people. Technology is a dual-edged sword.
Yeah. The essence of agricultural robots is to reduce drudgery and improve production.
