Indeed, in essence, the world is composed of systems that have been very regular. Such a regular system can be explained by the laws of science that you have learned in school. Starting from the concept of how an object must fall to earth because it is pulled by gravity until how X rays can help doctors diagnose the illness suffered by the patient. That's a bit of an example you can take with regard to biological applications and medical physics.
Biomechanics: Biology and Mechanics Slices
Simply put, biomechanics can be defined as a science that discusses the application of mechanical concepts in explaining the laws of biology and medicine. The major laws of mechanics that are often used in biomechanics are Newton's law. Newton's law became the first foundation to be mastered in discussing Biomechanics.
In Newton's law it is discussed that an object will continue to move or remain silent if without acceleration or deceleration of the object (Newton's law of inertia).
Newton II's law makes it clear that the force acquired or given by an object is directly proportional to the magnitude of the acceleration that is subjected to or experienced by the object. Meanwhile, Newton's law explains that if an object is subjected to force, it will actually counteract the action of force imposed on it. These three Newton laws are elaborated into biological systems in biomechanical concepts.
One that can explain this is the amount of resistance a joint possesses a person while performing certain activities, such as lifting weights.
Through the concept of physics, we can calculate how many moments of force that occur in the joints. Finally, the moment of force is compared with the value of the force moment that can still be borne by the joint. The comparison will ultimately provide a recommendation on the job, whether the work is dangerous or not.
Biomechanics and Work Accidents
Biomechanical applications can actually be developed further, not just explaining the laws of physics in biological systems. Biomechanics can be the basis for an engineer in designing a product or job whether it is harmful to the worker or not.
In addition, biomechanical concepts can also be used in the sport to significantly improve athlete performance. One of the most commonly discussed biomechanical concepts in the design of a job is the back biomechanics, especially in Lumbar 5 and Sacrum 1 parts.
That section is the most risky part of the job risk. Therefore, designers or engineers strive to minimize the risk of exposure. The risk that often appears in this section is low back pain.
low back pain can actually be avoided by utilizing the concept of biomechanics on the part. One might do is to divide the load to be lifted. With the distribution of the burden, it is expected that the risk will be smaller.
In addition, can also be used tools that fit the burden of objects. The technique of appointment also needs to be designed. This is related to the moment of force arising from the rapture to the body of the lifter.
thanks for reading
Hi @najma. This is a great article, however there is a few things I would like to mention:
Keep on learning and improving. Good luck!
thanks for the teacher, i will try again for that, i am just a few days here, and i will learn to make the source ,. but I do not find your discord name, is it because I am new.
