Finally, the situation with light is very similar. In the past, it was assumed that light spreads in straight rays. Then science found out that also the light can show itself as wave or particles depending upon view. All this points more and more to a universe that has anything but a static form, but rather to one that is movable and changeable or shows itself to the observer and researcher in a very individual way.
Before we come to some interesting theses, what is at the edge of the universe and if there is an end at all, two more interesting physical models can help to imagine this. The problem with the calculation and description of the universe seems to be actually the limitation of the used sizes so far. Our three-dimensional world consists of length x width x height plus time. The so-called string theory says that the whole thing is actually made of one-dimensional strings. These strings form space and matter in different frequencies. To give the one a mathematical sense, string theory assumes six additional dimensions. Dimensions we don't know and can't imagine but which have to be there. But we still have no idea how they look like, what their peculiarities are and how we can determine them at all. This may seem strange to the simple brain at first, but with a little fantasy you can imagine it very well.
And there we come to the point where we can determine something if we don't know it. Quite simply: by including something mathematically. Because without these unknown forces from the other dimensions the calculations won't work. These forces must exist and without them the whole universe would not function. But they are not yet visible and measurable for us. And there we come again to the point that we have to start to rethink slowly, because we are just at the beginning of everything. And arrogantly claiming that we already know everything is definitely anything but productive in science.
But let's get back to the theories. The physicist Burkhard Heim, who was close to blind and hard of hearing due to an accident, went even further. Towards the end of the last century he formulated a world view with a total of twelve dimensions. He was so courageous to bring God into the scientific game and after centuries of separation he again built a bridge between religion and science. Of course, this met with little enthusiasm from the recognized natural sciences. Whereby one must bear in mind that even the good old Einstein admitted that many mathematical puzzles could be solved if one assumed ten to twelve dimensions and that God himself was a great musician. Galileo Galilei described the universe in a very similar way, saying that mathematics was the language in which God had written the universe.
Actually, nobody knows how the universe really works, how it was created and what it still has in mind. Even the thesis of drifting apart is, as already mentioned, only an assumption. Some of the calculations in this model, like in many others, make sense, while others may not fit at all. Just like with the big bang theory. It is interesting, however, that string theory is compatible with the big bang theory. In fact, simulations of the time after the big bang showed that there must have been something like one-dimensional strings as a basic substance.
Only the following problems arose with further calculations: the scientists of the big bang theory come to an approximate age of our universe of about eight to twelve billion years with their calculations and simulations. Astronomers attest the oldest known star a proud age of about 14 billion years and again something doesn't quite fit. It seems as if the universe is not uniformly structured and may have neither a unitary center nor a unitary mode of operation or even a space in which it expands. Rather, it looks as if physical quantities behave differently in different places.

There are many observations and we try to draw conclusions from them but it is very difficult to make a proof for something very wide and big because the flow of time between the universe and us is very different (relative). it can easily happen that we are sometimes not right. The photo with the black hole was a year-long observation until the scientists were sure that it was a black hole and that the phenomenon described by Einstein is seen there.
