RE: AI in Medicine

Cannot decide if I am in love with that picture because I am a first responder , a Knight Templar, or a robot geek; I definitely love the pic though. Also, I work at a big medical school, JHU, they are using dogs to sniff cancer, and it is very effective.

I was reading about that a while back and I think that it can be really effective. It would make those who have misgivings about AI see an alternative.

It is kind of ironic that a doctor does not know your sick or not, yet can tell you. Your dog knows, and it does try to tell you, but few people are "dog whisperers."

I've heard of this before and it is super impressive. Have they tried using the dogs to sniff other sicknesses?

Yes, but not here at JHU.
