The world as we know is as a result of serious inventions which made living more convenient, more health and safe .We shall explore various technologies that changed the world or made the world a better place.
PRINTING PRESS-A man named German Johannes Gutenberg introduced printing in 1440.This allowed information to be printed on mass and spread news across the world. lt also helped the newspapers to thrive and increased literacy.lt allowed information to be accessed by all classes

TELEPHONE-Before Adele could even say ,Hello on the other side
the telephone was already there.lt was invented from 3 March 1847- 2 August 1922 by a Scottish man Alexander Graham Bell. This made communication better for all of us and today we even have cellphones

FLASHING TOILET /SEWAGE SYSTEM-We can’t talk of flashing toilet without mentioning the sewage system the two works hand in hand.Back then Sanitation used to be a problem.People used to throw their human waste into the streats or rivers which contaminated with water and led to diseases like cholera.John Harrington in 1956 came up with the idea which was later patented by Joseph Bramah. The first practical water closet was set in England in 1778
ELECTRICITY AND LIGHT BULB-The best example of electricity was a light bulb. Can you actually imagine living without the light bulb, television, internet etc. This iis so insane .Before electricity this was all impossible
REFRIGERATION-This was a big game changer for food preservation. Before refrigeration food would go bad quickly and it was impossible to store food at great length .The invention was made over a period of 200 years. The onces that we have in our homes was invented in 1923 by Frigidaire
SATELITE NAVIGATION(GPS)- As most of us we know that Gps provides us with geographical location and time anywhere on earth. If you have a functional smart phone its difficult to get lost.lt became functional in 1995 and this was made possible by the US department of Defence
COMPUTERS-I can’t imagine a world without a computer.Computers have made a lot of things easier especially in storing and retrieving data.Charles Babbage an English Engineer is the father of the invention of computers. He also came up with the programming concept.
THE WHEEL- This made it easier to transport load and people.Without wheels the idea of cars will not have been there.A wheel is a circular component that is intended to rotate on an axle bearing. The wheel is one of the key components of the wheel and axle which is one of the six simple machines. Wheels, in conjunction with axles, allow heavy objects to be moved easily facilitating movement or transportation while supporting a load, or performing labor in machines. Wheels are also used for other purposes, such as a ship's wheel, steering wheel, potter's wheel and flywheel.
Common examples are found in transport applications. A wheel greatly reducesfriction by facilitating motion by rolling together with the use of axles. In order for wheels to rotate, a moment needs to be applied to the wheel about its axis, either by way of gravity or by the application of another external force ortorque.Using the wheel, Sumerians invented a contraption that spins clay as a potter shapes it into the desired object.
VACCINATION-Smallpox in the 1980’s was the huge killer .Many people were dying because there was no vaccine to fight it.Harold Edward came up with the idea of vaccines that helped in treating small pox.
It is hard to determine who invented vaccination. It may have been used in ancient times in China, India or Persia. But we do know that Edward Jenner was the first person which the first recorded vaccination in the western world.

he British physician and scientist Edward Jenner developed and generalized the vaccination technique against the dreadful smallpox disease. Although he did not originate the idea of cowpox attack to confer immunity against smallpox, yet it was his experiments and investigations which transformed a traditional belief into standard procedure to save innumerable millions of lives.
His research was based on careful case-studies and clinical observation more than a hundred years before scientists could explain the viruses themselves. His groundbreaking discovery laid foundation for the modern-day immunology. It was only the result of his vaccination that to this day, smallpox remains to be the only human infectious disease to have been eradicated from this world.
