Holes of Ozone layer now : Decreasing

in #steemstem7 years ago (edited)

The ozone layer is the protective layer surrounding earth. A few decades ago it was revealed that our Ozone layer was affected by pollution, which caused a hole. Thanks to global efforts the hole seems to be decreasing now. Scientists say that if this improvement is ongoing then the Ozone layer will completely regenerate.

In September 2015 it was announced that there is a decrement in the hole approximately four million square kilometers as compared to the year 2000. For conservation, the Vienna treaty and Montreal treaty was held respectively in 1985 and 1991. These treaties state that countries of the world acknowledge that they will try to stop using Ozone Depleting Substances. Depletion of the Ozone layer is a cause of ClouriFlouro Carbon and Carbon Tetrachloride. Every country tries to reduce these emissions. It is an ongoing effort to reduce pollution. So always try to help by reducing your carbon footprint.

We hear from our teachers in school every day about that pollution.
