RE: Tech News: Will the Homes of the Future be 3d Printed?

in #steemstem7 years ago

That is a great question! Actually made me do a bit more research here because when you asked it, I didn't have a clue...

According to what I found on wikipedia:

'The Chinese company WinSun has built several houses using large 3D printers using a mixture of quick drying cement and recycled raw materials. Ten demonstration houses were said by Winsun to have been built in 24 hours, each costing US $5000 (structure not including, footings, services, doors/windows and fitout).'

I like seeing the word recycled in combination with new building projects! We need to become more sustainable and it is a step in the right direction. Thanks for stopping by and leaving such an excellent question! Take care.

Me too! 😀 I hear there are also many inventors building construction blocks made of recycled glass, plastic and cartons. And this is great news.

Thank you too for making an effort to answer my question! Cheers and take care as well.
