Actually, Wirtanen should reach naked eye brightness, but you'd have to 1) Have a very dark sky 2) know exactly where to look. The next comet easily visible to the naked hasn't yet discovered, but typically one of this size appears every 10 years, with the last one having appeared 7 years ago. Even so dark skies are usually essential to get the best views.
