RE: Theories of Nature of Light

in #steemstem7 years ago

Great in-depth look at the history of light, but I got a little confused at the end, i'm not a physician so that's probably why xD In the end we must treat light has both a wave and a particle? Does it change between them? How does that work? Maybe you can do a post about it or give me a little explanation @bikkichhantyal

Sort:

If you push a friend in line, the effect of this transfers from one person to another. In this case, the energy travels from one place to another without actual movement of particle. The disturbance you created is called wave.

If you throw a ball, the ball carries energy with it. It is called particle. Earlier, we had perception that if a thing is behaves as particle it cannot behave as wave and vice versa. But, in case of light, the light behaved differently in different condition. So, it showed dual nature.

Eg. Yarshagumba(Cordyceps Sinensis) acts as both plant and insect. We categorized plant and insect in different category. Later, we found that this living being acts as both. So, it behaves as plant and insect in different cases.

Thank you for the answer, it makes sense now, didn't know about that insect-plant, nature is truly amazing

Yes, along with insect plant, light also falls under nature. For that also, its truly amazing :D
