The wonders of science is beyond explanation with mere words. in other for one to show it, it is often praticalized to produce clear understanding. because seeing they say is believing. if some one had told me back in those days that we humans will one day fly in the air like gods i would shake my head in disagreement but life they say evolves. people grow wiser, smarter and better. when i was but a child my father told me a story of a man who gambled his whole life savings due to is ignorance and the thought that he had the strenght to prove science wrong never did he know that science is real and its principles can never be changed the story went like this.
there the ignorant man full of strenght was sitting on a chair at the other hand was a man who had wisdom and full believe in science the ignorant man full of strenght like gambling enough and he was good at it. the science believing man said to the ignorant man do you know the water in that cup that you are drinking from you can never drink it to the extent that there will be no drop of water on the it even if you swing it as much has you can. the ignorant man laughed due to the fact that he had no believe or knowledge of science he replied saying why will you say such if you really think you are right lets bet on it the wise man without much addo quickly said yes to what the ignorant man had said. they filled a cup with water and asked the ignorant man to drink it so they can see if there will be no water on the glass. after he finished drinking the water in the cup he was shocked to see little quantity of water on the cup he started swinging the cup has hard as he can having the belief that his strenght can remove all the quantity of water in the cup by swinging it never did he know that power nor strenght can stop science. after he had lost all his money the wise man simply said to him it's just adhesive force.
Adhesive Force
Adhesive forces are the attractive forces between unlike molecules. They are caused by forces acting between two substances, such as mechanical forces (sticking together) and electrostatic forces (attraction due to opposing charges). In the case of a liquid wetting agent, adhesion causes the liquid to cling to the surface on which it rests. When water is poured on clean glass, it tends to spread, forming a thin, uniform film over the glasses surface. This is because the adhesive forces between water and glass are strong enough to pull the water molecules out of their spherical formation and hold them against the surface of the glass, thus avoiding the repulsion between like molecules.
