I've heard that a high saturated fat content is actually good thing when it comes to cooking! It means that it is more stable at the high temperatures. Once it becomes unstable at the chemical level, that is when it is bad for us.
Has anyone else heard that coconut oil is the best all-around oil?
You may have heard that but the claim is false.
Which oil would you recommend cooking with then?
Depends on what you are trying to do. Regular cooking? Olive oil. Frying? Well if your frying then being health conscious isn't part of the equation so there I prefer peanut oil.
