RE: Pharmacology #2 : Salt + Water = Hypertension

in #steemstem7 years ago

I really shouldn't have read this article. But I did because my mom was recently taken to hospital due to hypertension. It gave me such a scare. Now, I've read your article (which was like, the most difficult thing I read in weeks, and I read a lot), and I am even more terrified :(
Is it possible for people with these problems to get rid of them completely or are they now "marked" for life?

Hey. First and foremost, make sure you know that this problem is very common. Don’t be terrified and instead, try to avoid yourself from getting those problems. In my understanding, hypertension is a chronic problem, as in it won’t disappear. On the bright side, the complications are the one we should be scared of, such as stroke and kidney failure as these problems are very debilitating in nature. Our quality of life will be definitely disrupted. Hence, if we are diagnosed with the disease, the best way to react is by preventing those complications from happening. If we take care of ourselves, as in healthy lifestyle and taking the prescribed meds accordingly, it will be fine :)

Hmm, thanks for your answer :) I'll try to make my mom eat only the most healthy stuff I can find and make her drop that freaking cigarette!
