Hello friends steemit, in this installment I share the work of one of the greatest scientists in the history of science.

James Clerk Maxwell (1831-1879)

Their achievements constitute the greatest advances of humanity. His greatest achievement THE UNIFICATION OF ELECTROMAGNETISM.

Originally there are twenty equations obtained by Maxwell on which his unified theory is based. In 1884 Oliver Heaviside and Josiah Willard Gibbs using Vector Analysis simplify Maxwell's equations to four as we know them today.

Maxwell mathematically formalized the experimental ideas of Michael Faraday as well as those of other great scientists. Their equations are also known as:
  1. Gauss's law of the electric field.
  2. Gauss's law of the magnetic field.
  3. Faraday-Henry's law of electromagnetic induction.
  4. Ampère-Maxwell's law.

Maxwell won the admiration of great scientists. Albert Einstein recognized that his special theory of relativity was inspired by Maxwell's equations. Maxwell mathematically predicted that Saturn's rings are composed of individual particles that float around it.

APPLICATIONS

There are innumerable applications of maxwell's equations, one could not conceive the current technologies without MAXWELL'S EQUATIONS.

In the field of telecommunications are vital Maxwell's equations, radiation diagrams of an antenna, wireless communications (wifi), cell phones would not be possible without its laws.

Figure 5 and 6 shows a three-dimensional diagram of electric and magnetic fields radiated by an antenna.

These diagrams can only be obtained from Maxwell's equations, in which the solution of them leads to the fields that allow said representation.

Given the complexity of these diagrams, software such as Matlab is used for their representation.

These diagrams allow you to determine fundamental parameters of an antenna such as efficiency, directivity, gain, bandwidth, etc. so necessary in the optimization of satellite transmissions.

The modes of propagation of electromagnetic waves in air or free space, in perfect and dissipative dielectrics are obtained from the Maxwell equations.

Signal transmissions in waveguides, coaxial cables, fiber optics are all governed by Maxwell's equations
