Not the best scenario, but we should keep in mind that participants had DEXA scanning, biopsies and 5 months of participating. I'm surprised they found even one.
Anyway, with the progress of RNA-Seq and related methods, we will probably learn something new about post-exercise biochemistry in near future *(5 years) and obtain fully comperhensive knowledge.
