Thanks for the reply. It's been a while and it's always a pleasant surprise when an old comment piques someone's interest encouraging them to comment. You're quite right about them being 'ego destroyers'. They're very humbling and in this chaotic world we live in, it's hardly the worst thing a person can do - bringing himself down a peg or two. We don't want too much introspection but it in the right doses lots of good can come from it.
It should be noted that this drug is a controlled substance, which means that it has a high degree of abuse and has no medical purpose.
The above post was just plain silly as well, wasn't it? (I don't think I gave it the response it deserved 6 months ago). You could argue we're all at different points on the mental health continuum and with time and circumstances an individual's point on that particular piece of string can vary greatly. The effects of microdosing hallucinogens is being researched as a potential treatment for depression. So, they look like they are being recognised to have medicinal purposes.
Happy hunting to yourself. I'm trying to go every weekend, now, but as I'm newish to the area, I've still to get lucky (I'm from north-west England but moved to the south-east twenty months ago). I'm sure I'll stumble upon a field-full sooner or later.
Maybe the author will have altered perception in the intervening six months :)
I actually stumbled upon your post when looking through various tags to include in a post I'm about to publish about the 'hunt' (not successful this time :).... but a friend who has been more diligent has over 100. This is the very start (at least in Scotland, SE England maybe a bit later?).
Hmmm a diagonal shift right across the country - hope you find your fields, shame the no 'no-trespassing' laws don't apply as they do in Scotland :)
