"Yellow....Is it Me You're Looking For?"

I know, I know.. me with these puns again.. but I can't help it! J-VO here with another Color Challenge post for Day 5 of the #steemwars challenges! I have yet again dug through all of my photographs and found several that boast the beautiful, sunny color yellow!

Before I get started, I want to say thank you to all that voted on my last Color Wars Challenge for Day 4 - Tuesday Orange. I was recognized by @crypto-investor for being the winner of the Day for my collection of orange and I am very humbled for being selected! Other notable entries were announced here as well, like @i-am-wade with his orange post where he featured an awesome character painting and a variety of other photographs he took, and @tremendospercy for having one of the most humorous posts with his orange Oompa Loompas and other orange colored people - hah. If you are interested check out Crypto-Investor's post to read it all here Thank you :)

I start today's post with a relevant quote in regard to this gorgeous color by my favorite artist of all time - Van Gogh...

"There is no blue without yellow and without orange.." - Vincent Van Gogh

"Still Life: Vase with Irises Against a Yellow Background Oil on canvas 92.0 x 73.5 cm. Saint-Rémy: May, 1890. Amsterdam: Van Gogh Museum."

Without further a-do.. lets get to it - shall we?

Hey, Hey Kids!

We went to Universal Studios a few years ago and they had replaced the old Back to the Future ride with a new Simpson's based 3-D ride experience. The entire ride was awesome - from the time spent in line to the time spent actually enjoying the thrill. These were some images from the time spent standing in line - they definitely do a good job giving you a lot to look at to keep you as entertained as possible while waiting your life away - lol. These featured some great bright yellow and instantly said "include me!". I hope we get to go back again soon - I love theme parks!

The Dixie Classic Fair

The Dixie Classic Fair is an awesome event that comes to town every year as the chill in the air becomes more apparent and the color of the leaves fade from green to shades of orange, yellow and red. Yellow makes a stunning appearance in these pictures from the beautiful sunset, to the sign on the door of an awesome piggy getting some pettin' before his next race, to the beautiful fair ground at night all light in carnival colors. The Fair is one of those awesome family fun things that we always try to go do together.

Hangin' out at Hanging Rock

Hanging Rock is a state park about an hour away from where we live in the mountains of North Carolina. There are awesome trails to hike, waterfalls to explore and swimming holes to take a dip in. This particular year we did all of those things, then after, we found a nice area to set up for some lunch. My sweet little girl enjoys drawing and all things creative like her mama and looks rather adorable in her bright yellow bathing suit. She is so big now - these memories are definitely cherished!

I LOVE SUSHI

My boyfriend and I make it a habit of going to get sushi at our favorite local digs here in NC at least once a month (it gets pretty expensive for us because its hard not to order everything on the menu). The photo below shows the amazing tuna roll - with three different types of tuna and topped with a bright yellow, sweet mango sauce and a little spicy mayo - its TO DIE FOR.
Great - now I want sushi!

Farm Life in the Country

I helped a friend who owns a horse farm with a website a few years ago - part of completing her site required coming out and grabbing some shots of the farm! This image displays some beautiful yellow flowers beneath the Oak Grove Farm Sign which boasts its name in a similar bright yellow. Her land and horses are beautiful - I will have to post more from this series at a later time - it's a little slice of heaven out there.

Beach Bum

A few years ago I went to Cape Hateras - a small chain of islands off the North Carolina coast - it was a big fishing year and to my surprise this place sold EELS which is vibrantly displayed in the yellow sign in the window - I don't know much about fishing with them - but they certainly are delicious as sushi! :)

Golden Glory

In honor of the passing of another independence day - here is a shower of yellow golden sparkles from a fireworks show :)

I was thinking of starting with the three stooges saying, "Yellow, Yellow, Yellow. YELLOW!" with a different yellow picture following each one. The only bad pun, is the one left unsaid!

OH! I love it!! You gotta do it :) I love a good pun or play on concept. :)
I searched 3 stooges on GIPHY.com and found this - HAH! Just so happens - they are yellow! GASP! lol

Excellent! I can hear their voices in my head, or is that the other voices I hear? lol

HAH! Let's just say they're "good voices" lol.. then its not so creepy LOL
