My Needlework Commission - Elsa

in #steemxp6 years ago (edited)

I do love using felt to make plushies. The texture and thickness is easy to control, to fold, to cut and to perfectly cut. I like the process of measuring and cutting. Here, Elsa was commissioned to me by students who just loved the character from the Disney movie, Frozen.

Making the doll was not hard. The hardest part was buying the right fabric for the dress and the cape. Here, Elsa's dress was made of silk fabric, baby blue in color. Her cape and sleeves were made of expensive lace net fabric.

My favourite part of Elsa was her hair. The texture of felt could make those stylish flair on her head. Other than thread, I did use UHU glue to finish my Plushie.

The style of the eyes, I was inspired from Japanese Anime eyes art. My boyfriend found them creepy but the kids loved them. What do you think?

my new project consists of weaving Elsa and Anna de Frozen (https://steemit.com/crochet/@fabianaporteles/needleworkmonday-amigurumi-collection-of-superheroes-and-princesses). When I saw your Elsa stuffed animal I was too fascinated by the way you took into account the details of the doll in its elaboration; a spectacular hair and an adorable dress.

Thank you so much! I'm looking forward for your weaving. Oh, I'll go to your post later. Yes, I took a very long time to finish Elsa.
