Explore several ways to intrigue your followers and create the best content you can for Steepshot!
Hey there Steemians,
In 2017, the Steem blockchain expanded once again with the addition of Steepshot. As most of you know, Steepshot is a social media app/platform that allows users to share photos, videos, and inspiration alike.
Steepshot is geared toward people who are socially active. The platform gives all different kinds of people the chance to share their vision in the form of photos. Steepshot, like Instagram, is all about creating the best content for your followers.
The application itself is extremely user-friendly. The layout is simple and aesthetically pleasing, so the rest is up to you. So, How can you create the best content possible for Steepshot?
Be Original
Being original is huge on all platforms of social media. People are more inclined to take an interest in your posts if they know the content is truly yours. Taking the photos yourself, and maybe even showing behind the scenes footage, is a great way to build a larger following.
Quality
One of the most important things, however, is to make sure your photos are pleasing to the eye. High-quality images are much better to look at than some pixelated offhand photos.
You want to make sure that there isn’t too much going on in your post so that people are able to focus. Experimenting with different editing tools is also a great way to make your content more aesthetically pleasing. But make sure not to over edit, as that can sometimes look cheesy and excessive.

Understand Your Target Audience
A great place to start on Steepshot is to establish what kind of content you want to be posting, and what you want others to get out of your Steepshot page. On Instagram, I follow several photographers, who only post professional photos, and some funny bloggers, who post funny videos and inspirational quotes for other writers.
It is similar for Steepshot. People love structure, so it is important to build a strong following around that. If you are a travel blogger, share your travels with the world! And don’t forget to use tags on your photos that pertain to what you have posted.
Post and Engage

Posting and engaging with your followers is the key to success. According to SteemRocket,
the best time to post is on
Monday and Thursday between 12:00 pm and 6:00 pm EST.
It is extremely useful to take advantage of this fact and to post and reply to your followers during the times where people are going to be more active on the site. It really does make a difference when someone you look up to and follow is able to take the time to reply, and maybe even shout out their followers, so don’t forget that!
