Yes, the title is extremely clickbait because you need to read this, it's very important!
After reading the article How Steem can save the (art) world! of my friend @ecardo about how Steemit's proposal can play an important role in motivating artists to produce beautiful works and to be justly rewarded, that didn't leave my head.
I often use Instagram and there follow some photographers and artists from other areas with huge audiences, who earn from 10,000 to 100,000 likes in a single image.
Naturally I ended up connecting both, imagine if there was an Instagram in the mold of Steemit? Imagine you a photographer, or 3d artist, or graphic designer who daily sends the material you produce. Maybe you aren't on the level of the photographers I mentioned, but even if you get 100, 200, 300 likes in each picture posted. What if all that audience was in a system like Steemit and those likes were upvotes?
You who produce creative material for the internet and receive nothing for it, not directly at least, you could be rewarded very satisfactorily even without someone hiring your work.
That's when I researched and found the @steepshot project. That's exactly what I had imagined!
But for that steemit is enough, isn't? Just need to have more people on Steemit.
No!
The interface matters, the experience offered to the user is of paramount importance! Instagram offers a UI / UX that gives the user this experience of posting and appreciate images uploaded by other users, isn't this proposal of Steemit, but it can be. This is @steepshot.
What is the potential?
We're going to do some pretty extrapolated accounts to get an idea of how much an artist could win.
I'm not going to make the exact account, but based on the numbers of posts that appear in hot and trending, you can potentially win $250 with 300 upvotes. There are some with less upvotes than this and more dollars, but also the opposite, so I assumed that average.
Remember that at the beginning I spoke about who posts images daily and makes from 100 to 300 likes? This person on @steepshot with the same audience of 300 likes would make $250 per day.
Let's extrapolate even more and this time make a basic account?
A photographer sends their photos every day and gets an average of 2,500 likes / upvotes per photo. How much money would he make?
That's the potential that a platform like @steepshot has to offer to users as it becomes popular!
How many of the creative industry can say they make all that money in a month? Not many. But with @steepshot many will be able to!
Now do you account for how much someone would make with an audience of 20,000, 50,000, 100,000 likes?
And best of all, this would create an ever more professional production cycle ever seen!
I'm very excited about the discovery of the application, I'm already using and following the development, I recommend everyone to keep an eye. If it's not @steepshot, another app with the same proposal will provide this. It's inevitable.
