Shibuya district, Tokyo!
I was guessing Tokyo but I did a search on Tsutaya corp [mirrored on the building behind you] and then searched for the right building. I feel quite clever now ; -D
I WISH I knew because I'd been to Tokyo, so perhaps that's one of the ways I should look to build a life I don't want a vacation from! The title drew me in so I must have an element of wanting to find out how, even though I'm about 75% content :-D ... I've always got a degree of wonderlust.
Glad you left the rat race and you guys looks so happy!
Correct! Well done! I love that place! I want to go back there in 2018!
My husband often works in Japan, so maybe we'll finally do the sabbatical we've been talking about and spend 6 months living in Japan. My daughter @miyuki is a testament to our love of Japan and everything Japanese. For me, it is a love from afar [via films, food, art, etc]. Time to visit! Might try to combine it with a visit to Australia as my daughter moved there 7 years ago. We have a big family right now so travelling is a bit difficult ... but we did live in Massachusetts for 3 years and I LOVED that!
Go back in 2018! What will you do that's different? Or will you go back to all the places you went before too?
I want to go back to the same places but also explore more of Japan, I'm also really into anime and my dream is to meet Rumiko Takahashi :P 6 Months living in Japan sounds amazing, if you have the opportunity, go for it!
I hope you do get to see her!
One of my kids decided to go to school at 14 and she has another 2 years of A Levels before she has a gap year or goes off to Uni, but we might be able to go for 6 months after that. :-D She's changing direction this year, dropping out and doing music and languages instead of sciences ... following her dreams, so she is free until Sept 2018 and she'll probably travel when my husband is travelling.
Japan and Australia 2020 I hope :-)
