Yesterday, I noticed a bit of green in the yard, and rejoiced that we didn't get hit with snow during the recent Nor'easter. This morning, everything was covered in a light layer of white, with reports on the news of 8-12 inches on the way midweek. This Goldfinch echoed my own sentiments when she exclaimed, "What the actual fuck?!"

As always, taken with my trusty Nikon COOLPIX P610 and handy dandy tripod (Amazon affiliate links - thanks for the pennies if you click through and order something...LOL), with the Auto Mode setting.

The contrast between the bird and the background is very lively and it was great your post !!!

Thank you so much, @dicasnarede!

You never fail to impress with your photography :)

Awww, that's such a sweet thing to say, @vj1309! Thank you so much!

Nice. I thought the chain was coming from the birds neck at first !

LOL! Now that you mention it @intrepidphotos, I totally see that. And thanks!

I love that indignant look. I've never seen a Goldfinch before. They're very pretty. Enjoy the snow. As a Sydney sider I get way over excited when I see snow 🤗

Hey, even though I gripe about it, I still love the snow too. At least I do on the days I don't have to go anywhere... LOL. And thanks!

Ha ha yes that would also be my favourite kind of snow. I like looking at it more than I like actually being in it.
