Speaking of deforestation and its negative effects, It's quite unfortunate what the world we are living in is fast turning into, no thanks to urbanization/civilization.
The chief reason for the humans stance towards the consequences of deforestation was rightly and perfectly captured in this passage...
How developed a place is, becomes a measure of the number of trees (or vegetation generally) that is present in that environment. The more the vegetation/trees, the less developed they are considered and vice versa.
With this, I am really bothered of what the future holds for mankind. Very scaring

Thank you @eurogee. Unless laws are made to protect forests and establish new ones, the future generation might be in big trouble before they are even given birth to.
