RE: CRUISE CONTROL: LETS TALK ABOUT COMFORT WHILE DRIVING

in #stemng7 years ago

Interesting article. A typical Nigeria road requires braking every 100m, how are we supposed to use cruise control on such roads? Useful features but our "impossible" roads makes it appear like a fifth wheel. Wonderful article.

Sort:

I intentionally did not mention the Nigerian roads because that's another case on its own.
Well,

Do not use in hazardous conditions

Is part of the conditions. I would leave you to connect the dots.

Thanks for stopping by

I know.. that was more like a rhetorical question. Keep steeming.

If you want to enjoy cruise control, please come and use our Abuja roads - no traffic nor pot holes. you can even sleep on the wheel (just kidding!)

For a moment there I was almost packing my bag to head over to Abuja :)

hahahahahaha............... what changed your mind ?

Nothing, I just remembered that when something is too good to be true, it usually is :)

It works on any type of road since it would follow the traffic in front without user input. The car stops if the car in front stops and starts when the car in front starts:

There are loads of other videos online. I did some researching into this a little while back. Cheap system overall and many cars are fitted with it. 15-20000$ cars for now but give it 3 years and you will see it stock on the Renault Clio :P

Im sure you are referring to adaptive cruise control
