Now that you've brought this issue. How does this principle applies in a submarine. Because the submarine can actually overcome the upthrust and submerged at will?

It uses ballast bag to achieve buoyancy or dive. The bag gets filled with either air or water for both float and dive respectively.

Thanks. I'll make some findings on Google to better understand it. Its amazing and fascinating to me.
