Nice one @michaelwrites
I enjoyed the brief history it was quite similar to one I read a long time ago in one of Jehova's Witness Journal - Awake.
I hope my memory is still green. In that journal, injured soldiers who had their wounds infested with maggot got healed and didn't require plastic surgery, while those who didn't have theirs infested required intensive care and eventually plastic surgrey. That was how the healing powers of maggots were discovered and investigated.
So just like you said, mistakes have recorded a great deal of success in our lifetime.
Brilliant article @michaelwrites especially when you see the break through this discovery has brought about, especially in the treatment of diabetic wounds.
Sadly, I have not heard of any successful application of the procedure in Nigeria.
Thank @nicewoody69 for your calm comment.
Nigeria, as you may know doesn't always take a lead in stuffs like this. It could have been done in Nigeria, but the numbers would be low. I'm sure someone would have 'risked' it.
