haha reading the heading, i remembered my first ever experience of an electric shock, i literarly put my hand into the electricity that day (i am Nigerian and im sure you know we can do some risky home connections). was not catastrophic though.
now to the topic....
i know that earthing of appliances help to prevent shock (or somethg like that).
The technicians over here mostly do not see safety as something important. So, I've seen dangling exposed conductors in places where people could easily access. Seeing most home's electrical wiring, it's a wonder we don't have electrical fire or shock on daily basis as most safety rules are often disregarded. Thanks.
Here, rules were made to be broken, but it is up to us to try our best to ensure sensitisation in our little way to avoid electric accidents.
Some still follow the standard practices.
