The act of pretending to be someone else, does it help? I would say NO. Usually, we act to be the cool, nice guy when you go outside but when arriving home, you put on a new body from another world. Getting angry unnecessarily and acting weird when we are at home or with our family. Pretention does not only give you another body but it blocks you from seeing your true self.
we think that pretending helps us to accomplish success in the place we find ourselves, maybe with colleagues or an outside environment where we are less known but I can assure that pretending is like we lie to ourselves. It when you pretend you cover your true nature. And how do we think that covering of our real altitude would last for long. Someday it would be exposed in one way or the other. Character building takes time but you must strive to bring out the best out of you. Because pretense is very dangerous. It can make you lose you worth when someone discovers who you truly are.
I know that we want the best for ourselves but one of the best ways to learn is to have in mind that we don’t know anything but we are still learning and that is humility. when you feel that you have arrived at a certain stage where you can’t listen to your colleague and you feel that you are all knowing, maybe because you got a higher degree more than your colleague then you should know that you are on a road to destruction...be quick to listen to what people say whether they are right or wrong.
Simple Solution
Sometimes we pretend without knowing we are doing that and that is one of the problems that we face. Some of us has pretended to the point we become professionals in pretending. Building yourself from within at right from where nobody sees us is very important. Now, see yourself being the nice and cool guy right from where you are alone. Act to yourself how you would act outside. Let your true nature of positive altitude begin right from your home with family and close friend.
Be professional about it, never let an outsider affect your true nature of identity because if someone can influence your character by making you pretend, then your character can’t be trusted. You must be true from your heart without secrets because if you are hiding and lying, you will end up losing your attribute in pretense.
Working in the organization where you meet various kind of people doesn’t need pretense that’s why you must start today to build your personality from today...Like I said, Make it professional
