I remember visiting the nuclear plant of Thiange in Belgium during my college years, back in 1991. At the time nuclear fusion was being introduced as expected to go into production within 30 years.

It is an ongoing story. At the beginning of research it was though of as a pretty easy subject. Boy were they wrong.
