RE: Why does humanity need fusion energy?

Thanks for another question about this fascinating subject.

One comment is that maybe the title seems to canvass a bit too much nuclear fusion as the solution to our atmospheric pollution.

Is the intent of the question to compare nuclear fusion as a source of energy vs other "clean" sources of energy, such as renewable?

I assume that nuclear fusion does come with some drawbacks as well, such as the need for cooling and the warming up of rivers?

Maybe a title such as:
"What are the advantages as disadvantages of nuclear fusion compared to renewable sources?"
would be more neutral?
