This status quo has fueled the continued quest to seek greener pastures beyond the shores of the country. However, the bitter truth is that the world cannot contain over 100 million Nigerian youths if every one of them decide to migrate.
What then is the way forward?
To continue working hard right here. One day, all those efforts will produce fruit.
Welcome to a new edition of STEMng Digest.
Who are we?
STEMng is the Nigerian sub-community of the stemsocial community, a community that has been supporting stem authors on the hive blockchain for about four years now. While stemsocial focuses on everyone irrespective of their country, STEMng is specifically for Nigerians. The best stem contents published by Nigerians on the Hive blockchain are highlighted weekly.
Below are the posts that made it into our digest for this week:
- @silviafx: Midwifery Series - ANATOMY AND PHYSIOLOGY OF THE FEMALE REPRODUCTIVE SYSTEM
Our first selection for this week talks about the anatomy and physiology of the female body. Apart from those aspiring to be medical personnel, understanding the female body can help out in many situations where a female finds herself. If you are a heterosexual man, the knowledge might also come in handy sometimes.
2.@merrymercy: Thyroid Cancer- Is It Deadly?
Another medically themed article. The author is asking if thyroid cancer is deadly. I guess he was just trying to be rhetorical. He's just bent on educating us about the different types of thyroid cancer that exist and the predisposing factors. He also discussed the possible treatment for the different cancers.
3.@oluwatobiloba: Vitamin B Complex Explained
Vitamins are vital for the body, no doubt. Also, a wide variety of these vitamins exist in nature. Of a particular interest to the author of this article is vitamin B complex. It discussed the nature, the specific roles that the vitamin plays in the human body and the likely consequences of not having enough of this vitamin in the body system.
4.@royalevidence: Why Do People Snore - Causes and Cure for Snoring
If you are the type that snores, have a partner that snores, or knows someone that does, this is a post that you would not want to miss. The author discussed the scientifically known reasons that could cause someone to snore. Not just that, he discussed the possible solutions to a menace that has broken many relationships.
5.@alidickson: CHRONIC OBSTRUCTIVE PULMONARY DISEASE (COPD)
Human polluting the environment is an act that will simply not go away. Thus, it is imperative for every one of us to understand some of the health implications of pollutants and take precautions where possible. COPD is a disease that is one of the consequences of inhaling particulate pollutants. Interestingly, the top risk factor is not pollutants but smoking. Read the post to understand more.
And that ends our selections for this week. Do not forget to give the featured posts/authors your maximum support. Thank you in advance.

See you again next week!
Yes, I perfectly agree with the fact that indeed hard work pays off. You can make it anywhere you are provided that you work hard.
Though everyone now believes that the only way to make it is to migrate abroad, some people have made it big in Nigeria through hard work and providing value.
Even though the situation in our country is not encouraging, with resilience, there is always a light at the end of the tunnel.
Thank you so much for the highlight. It's well appreciated 🙏
You are welcome.
