Last night before I logged off for the evening to spend the little time I have with my husband, I checked a few last things on steemit and Discord.
Well, when I clicked on my wallet (my husband always asks how the account is doing and the price of steem and sbd) for the nightly update chat with him... IMAGINE my surprise when I saw that my SP went from over 5k to OVER 10k!
With shaky hands I went to the steemworld.org website to see who had delegated more SP to me... and wouldn't you know it... the delegations in and out tabs were NOT functioning.
Oh bother! Now what??

First I sent a PM to @abh12345- he could help (but then I remembered- He's on a vacation- DANG it)
PMed @pennsif - he's one of my go-to people when I have steemit question- he is like the Wizard of Oz- the man behind the curtain who can ANSWER anything! He gave me a link... and... It was @fulltimegeek.
I PMed @scrooger of Qurator... I had to share this with one of my best friends on steemit and Discord! By now, a few tears were streaming down my cheeks and my hands were shaking more
My next thought was to sit down, write a post thanking @fulltimegeek for his continued generosity... but I stopped mid-sentence as I was typing the title to the post.
I needed to S-T-O-P and think!
I didn't want to just type THANK YOU... I wanted to say more... so much more....
First
I have been on a whirlwind of activity, having contests, helping to promote other steemians by having my weekly Embracing of a steemian, I started a new tag on steemit in late December called healthy2018, I restructured my Holler Out Tuesday recognition post and had some fun holiday peek ins on homesteaders.
I even hosted a @qurator membership contest and awarded (paid for) six steemians to become members. All six had such a great potential, quality writing skills and were dedicated to posting daily. EXACTLY what qurator and the steemit blockchain is ALL about.
I have been commenting, UPvoting, trying to find new talent within the incoming new members and steemians, chatting it up on Discord and making connections... I see it... I do it. I am 100% steemit devoted... and I guess @fulltimegeek sees that in me.
Second
I spoke with @abh12345 last week about delegating MY OWN SP to another steemian; as a way of spreading the steemit love that @fulltimegeek has bestowed upon me. So now I have the instructions, the website and am determining who it may be. Kind of leaves me breathless. If you had asked me six months ago when I first joined steemit that I would be where I am today... I would have laughed... shook my head and said, "yeah, right..."
So my main objective this week is to narrow down my choices of whom to delegate to.
I am not sure of the amount yet either. This gal has a lot of thinking to do...

@fulltimegeek you are an extraordinary soul that sees in people what others may not have noticed. I am speechless with this second delegation you have honored me with. I have no words to express how I am feeling right now. I was awake half the night thinking and talking with my husband on how I will be working to help others advance in the steemit community and blockchain.
My husband's advice was to "just be you. Do what you have been doing... you know in your heart and soul how to help people..."
Those were the words I fell asleep to early this morning.
So I pledge to all the steemians reading this post, those who may have missed it and MOSTLY to @fulltimegeek... I will NOT disappoint. I am spending a few hours today plotting out, planning and coming up with my next few surprises, my delegation of a steemian and how I will continue to spread the steemit joy and love.

I'm not surprised at all my friend. You have been doing fantastic work and it was clear to anybody that knows you. I am not surprised at all of the gift you were given. Tears of joy over hear for you. Bravo. Keep up the great work and pay it forward!!! One whale can touch the lives of thousands upon thousands of people. This is the model that the world should be working from and we are all a witness that it works brilliantly! When I was typing this post up yesterday... yeah, tears were forming again, Even now as I read all these comments, I get blurry-eyed with excitement and joy.
I plan on getting my own delegation set up today and announcing to the selected person and my community who it is. I am hoping to do a second one in the next few weeks.
I want to share the excitement I felt when I received FTG's delegations with others- SUCH a moment of surrealism!
There is a bug going around and lots of people are starting to catch it. It is contagious and causes great change. It is called givetuspayforwus. The only remedy is to ride it out and see what happens. <3 woooohoooooo

I too am fortunate to have a mentor who delegates to me. Without @steevc's support and guidance, I would still be slithering around in the primordial sludge. The fact that I can give people a worthwhile upvote is just a brilliant experience.
It is an amazing feeling. I am so used to helping others and to have someone "gift" me this honor is nothing like i have felt before.

There are truly some wonderful souls on steemit. For me to see so many whales and veteran steemians doing these delegation just shows how much they believe in this platform and its success.
This is how we build a community. Helping those who demonstrate they help others rather than making every effort to only ensure ones own success by begging for upvotes and follows.
This certainly helps to restore faith in the human race.
Since arriving here on Steemit i am delighted by the volume of awakened souls who generously encourage and support others.

There was an extra $5K in my wallet one day too...I had no idea where it came from. It wasnt until a couple days later that someone told me.
You are doing impressive work on here and @fulltimegeek (along with the rest of us) appreciate it.
I just issued my first delegation too....it is wonderful to help out. I admit it was a small amount relatively speaking but it did get someone the voting bar since it moved the account over 500 SP.
We are really having an effect on the lives of others on here.

When I first joined steemit months ago, I was clueless. But as I made my way through the maze and chatted with people on Discord, it all started falling into place in my mind.

Discord is so easy.. I can understand feeling overwhelmed by it, but it's as easy as texting or messaging on FB messenger. If you really want to learn I can guide you
Oh honey, you are so sweet! And busy. I could use help but I am not sure I am "helpable." I have an anxiety disorder and that gets touched off in there for some reason. I have it open right now. God I can't believe I am admitting this. Just the sound of the beeps in the background is making me tear up, and I can hardly catch my breath. But if you think you have some guidance, lay it on me! PLEASE do not waste too much time on me, I am kind of a basket case.
I keep the volume turned off. I ca't handled all the BEEP-BEEP-BEEP too.

Thank you so much! I have a big personal thing that will be over soon, and then I will be less emotional about it all. Most days I can laugh while I cry about it at least! It is in the "phobia" range for me, I KNOW no one is going to crawl out of the computer and hit me or anything but my "fight or flight" gets going and it is ridiculous!

Your channel struck a cord right away when I saw you are from Michigan. Kentwood, MI is my place if birth and home until the age of 34. Second was that you identify as a homesteader. This is not only a goal of mine, but until I grow out of my nomadic stage and purchase a plot of property, I travel around America helping those with low incomes create their dream through up cycling scavenged materials.
