How is a tariff on steel going to hurt the U.S. Auto industry? The U.S. makes the steel. A tariff largely affects the countries that import the Steel. Domestic goods are not imported goods. Some companies that make steel in the U.S. are United States Steel Corporation, AK Steel Holding Corporation, Cleveland-Cliffs Inc. This industry will greatly benefit from a tariff as it limits pricing competition with companies that export steel/aluminium to the U.S. Possibly the price of steel may rise for auto manufacturers in the U.S. but these costs usually fall on the consumers.

The Stock Market agrees with your assessment.

Going to hurt the already hurting steel industry here in Canada too. Places like the Soo and Hamilton and mining towns like Timmons and Sudbury

I don't think this Trump guy knows what he is doing

He knows exactly what he is doing.... he does these ridiculous things to distract the World from all the problems he is facing in DC... everyone is quitting on him. Resignations every day.

He says... you are going after my daughter and son in law now ???? Oh yeah ? Watch this. And boom he does something totally outrageous... every time.

He does not care about anything except himself and his family. You go near them and he will do whatever he can to disrupt the narrative.

If they get too close to his family he will bomb somebody

He will surround himself with War Mongers.
