Khalid read the message the untempt times, shaky and spuming out salty
sweat from his pores and brows. The message had finally rinsed sleep out
of his eyes. The message, albeit distorted was making him to go spleen athis stupidity. So his father was the friend the old risible man was perturbed
about that yesterday? Why did he even hide his real identity from this
man? No wonder the old man was bent on knowing who he really was. It
was totally stupid of him to have concealed everything from him.
Jamal glared at the message again, and the part where he would have to
trigger his powers came beckoning to him. That was the second time he would be hearing that. The first was from Meshach—the liar and now the
old monk had said the same thing. Could the monk also be lying? That
kind of amused him. How could someone like him who couldn’t even lift a
pebble stone become so powerful? Jamal was getting confused. He
decided to go and look for whoever was bearing Alzarius, for she would be
in best position to give him the replies he needed. He leapt up abruptly and
hurried out of the cave. But on getting there, he met two very beautiful
ladies with very unbeautiful stares looking at him.
“Hey …Jaaaammal.”He heard a screech from one of them and with
approaching steps. He looked sternly to see who was running towards
him, behold it was Amanda. The lass she treated back to recovery on his
arrival into the town. He immediately received her in a tight embrace. His
heart was goaded with joy seeing Amanda again.
“Jamal, I miss you.” Amanda breathed, tightening the embrace.
“I miss you too Amanda, you have no idea how I’ve wanted you to come to
my hospital, but you never came.” Jamal said, rubbing her head against his
chest. A soothing feeling of relief permeated his soul at just hugging the
young girl.
“I’m sorry Jamal, I travelled to the city. I just got back yesterday. Me and
my mom actually?” Amanda tittered.
Jamal’s face hefted surprise. “Your mom?” he asked, almost in falter.
“Yes Jamal, that’s my mom.” Amada pointed to Tamara
