Scuba diving 
The victim, naked, was placed in a wooden box with five holes through which she took out her head, hands and feet; then these parts of the body were smeared with milk and honey to attract flies and other insects to them.. 
The victim was fed milk and honey, sometimes in poor condition, several times a day to cause diarrhea and attract even more insects, which began to feed on feces, then go into the anus of this and, therefore, to leave their eggs inside it.
They were given honey and milk not only to attract more insects, but so that the condemned would not die of hunger/thirst and thus suffer longer.
The cause of death was most of the time septic shock from insect bites.
