Toddlers and cleaning, a combination that does not mix well. Between Christmas/New Year break, as well as them being sick, my house is a wreck! Rather than getting upset, I tried to write a short story I can find humor in.
Let me know what you think!!
Ready for action, she puts on her gear, a messy bun and a broom in hand. A fresh pot of coffee, music blasting, her mission was clear, bringing order back to this place!
Five minutes in she hears the words, "Moooommmmy, I need something to drink!"
"Okay, okay, I can do that", she thinks, "then back to getting this place squeaky clean!"
Getting back into her groove, she moves quickly from room to room. It isn't long before she hears, "stop pulling my hair!" She rushes in, breaking up the fight, kissing boo-boos, making sure everything was alright.
Now it was time for washing the clothes, she looks down, "Ahh! Where did these toys come from?!"
Feeling herself being pulled in every which direction, "maybe I'll sit down to change my perspective"
Knowing if she wants a moment alone, she'll need to hide, where a door can close. "The pantry is the perfect spot!" she thinks, but soon hears footsteps followed by, "Mommy, we need something to eat!"
Giving up she thinks aloud, "Maybe the house will be clean when the kids turn eighteen!"
I needed a little giggle this morning. Hope you guys found the humor as well!
PS. I added in a few new things to my writing, did ya notice??
