Once a hungry cat caught a rat. The rat requested to leave him but the cat was so hungry that there is no chance he will let that rat to escape.so he did not notice rat's request and started moving towards his home. In the way of his home they met a monk passing by to the nearest village for getting some food. When the rat saw the monk he anyhow escaped from that rat and ran towards the monk. He asked for monks help to save his life from that cat.
The rat already get injured by the cat so he requested the monk to help him. The monk understood the situation and asked the cat to forgive rat's life. But the cat told him that he was hungry for days and if he will not get his food then he might die soon.
By listening this the monk told both of them that saving life of others is his prime duty and he cannot let the cat to eat this rat. He assured the cat that he will collect some food from near by village, and also some medicine for that injured
rat , until that the cat had to promise him that he will not eat that rat nor he attack that rat again but will save him. Both cat and rat got agreed upon his suggestion.
That day the monk took little longer to collect some food from village nearby, And when he returned to that place he was shocked to see that both that cat and the rat had already died. The cat died because of hunger and the rat died because he was severely injured by the cat.
The monk did not understood that what he had done........
Was it a good deed or a bad deed?
thanks for reading my story..(more to come soon...)
Excellent story @bibekchandra , I became your fan now...These stories are just awesome..And I your question also confused me that is it a good deed or bad deed..As they both died is a bad thing happened and they both saved earlier was a good thing...Overall very nice presentation of your story.. I like it.thank u
thank you aruni for your reply.. its a good thing that you like my stories ...and in future i will post more stories...
actually i think its a bad deed because if the cat had ate that rat then atleast one animal would have survived...but in order to save both of them the monk did wrong ...whose result is they both died....but extraordinary story bro...keep it up
Mr.Sukesh,According to my calculations, there is no mistake of monk.Because we have to give our own judgment according to the condition. From this story you may have even come to know how loyal animals are.......So, according to me, both are right in their place.

According to me, monk did not do any bad work because he did what he did right at that time
