Everytime I wake up, I go straight in checking my phone. I will look into my messenger to check if there are unread messages, then a quick browse on Steemit to read resourceful articles or blogs and finally, I will spend most of the time scrolling up and down to my Facebook news feed to read news, memes, latest posts of my FB friends, etc.
It's true that our subconscious mind picks up everything and we do not have control of it. But most of the time, we pick up great ideas and lessons from it. A story post from Preach It Facebook page made me a second thought of self-realization. Let me share with you a short story I read; it's for you to reflect and to have self-realization.
A snake entered a Carpentry Shop and as it crawled to the corner, it went through a saw and hurt itself a little bit. At that time, he turned and bit the saw which made him hurt himself badly in the mouth.
Then, not understanding what was happening to him and thinking that saw was attacking him, he decided to roll around the saw as if wanting to suffocate him with his whole body and shaking with all his strength. It was so unfortunate, the snake ended up being killed by the saw.
Sometimes we react in anger, thinking about hurting those who hurt us, but we are hurting ourselves.
In the situation that you think you are being hurt by anyone, speak up. Confront rather than thinking of doing bad things to others. Or sometimes, it is better to ignore people and situations for your own good.
