Finally Chikamso is done with her exams. Both Waec and Jamb, now the only thing she can do is hope, pray and wait for admission. An average teenager that is done with secondary school, would go and find a job, but Chikamso isn't an average teenager. She's a naive, native but over pampered girl. Her parents wouldn't even let her work, even if she wanted to. So she stayed at home. Chikamso didn't have a phone, she would always take her mom's phone to talk to her lover on her secret Facebook account. She was definitely head over heels in love with Favour, she loved Favour and valued their relationship so much. Countless nights spent thinking about starting a family with him, even when she knew that Favour wasn't faithful.
Months passed and Chikamso gained admission. Although things hasn't been very smooth with her lover. She had no means of communicating with him, because her mom found out about her lover and forced her to take down her Facebook account.
She only got a phone a week to the resumption date.
He lover gained admission too, so they were both eager to see each other.
Time passed and Chikamso realized that she had only been infatuating. The same boy she thought she loved so much is the same person she began to see as childish. And then, she became home sick and started missing the her home which she usually referred to as a cell. She had come to an environment where no one cared about her as much as her family did.
She no longer got any attention.
Because of her naive nature she was always played, and because of her small stature she was always bullied.
She then understood that she had a lot of growing up to do and a lot of things to learn as well.
She finally got the freedom she wanted so badly.
But she realized that no amount of freedom, is worth the amount of love she received from her family.
She has her freedom now and at the same time she now understands that family is everything.
It's perfect this way. Everything is balanced
