Eric, thanks for your observations about this. As an old saying I've heard goes, "I resemble those remarks." Your short piece has been a good reminder for me that as much as I struggle with this and that, things overall really aren't too bad, and compared to much of humanity throughout history, actually quite good...
As a believer in Jesus, I look forward to a future of real "rest" in the sense that you've spoken of here... but in the meanwhile, I can at least experience prolonged periods that approximate it. Thanks! :D
