RE: One Thousand and One Nights: Aladdin and the Magic Lamp: 25th Night

in #story2 years ago

I have to admit, this is by far the most exciting part of the story. I had goosebumps while reading the paragraphs. Because what the Genie did for Aladdin is impressive. I try to imagine the event in my mind and I am amazed as I read the story. Even the Sultan and the Grand-Vizier were amazed at the magnificent treasures that Aladdin offered for the Princess's hand.

There is a line in this part that makes me laugh:

"I am not a king, and we all are only the slaves of the one who will come when the time is right!"

This is what a slave mistakenly believed to be the king of the slaves who came. It means that because the slaves were so formal and good-looking, they were thought to be members of a high-status family of a kingdom. Because of that, I was even more impressed as I read the part where the 40 female and 40 male slaves were in the procession while they were carrying the 40 gold dishes full of magnificent treasures. I couldn't contain my emotions while reading this part because who wouldn't be moved by this grand procession, right? This is an event in the story that is truly amazing.

Especially when the treasures were arranged around the throne of the Sultan, the Sultan really couldn't speak immediately because he was so surprised. The description that said that the Sultan did not know where to look made me smile because I imagined that I might be like him when someone presents me with such grand treasures.

I was a bit pissed off when I read the part where the Grand-Vizier said that it wasn't enough to marry the Princess to Aladdin. But I was impressed when the Sultan kept his word and decided to accept the offerings and marry the Princess to Aladdin. I think the Sultan's will is still good, he is just affected by the Grand-Vizier's bad intentions. It's good that in this part he didn't listen to the Grand-Vizier and it was agreed by the other viziers.

And this is it! It looks like Aladdin's dream of marrying the Princess will come true. What will Aladdin's reactions be when his mother comes to tell him the good news? What will be the reaction of the Princess when she and Aladdin meet again but on the occasion that they are about to get married? Will he recognize Aladdin's face? Will the Princess be angry? Or will he fully accept Aladdin?

I have many questions in my mind that can only be answered by the next part of the story. The next parts are really exciting so I can't wait.

Thanks, @vcelier for sharing this amazing part of the story :)
