With my first I was procrastinating getting down there as my due date approached, and then I was 5 days over due and I kept telling hubby he was going to have to help- we had just moved on the 3rd of the month (due date was the 5th and this is the 10th) needless to say I was more focused on unpacking then vagina maintenance.
Cue to my water breaking, I’m thinking omg I stink and it’s bush city down there. I called the hospital and asked if it would be alright if I had a shower before heading down, this is probably one min after my water broke and I only lived 2 min away from the hospital. Yes no problem they said see you when you get here- no rush.
Turns out I’m one of those women that gets contractions 2 min apart right from when my water breaks. I STRUGGLED in that shower. Hubby is getting his beard trimmers out and standing outside the shower looking terrified! He turns them on just as I’m having a contraction. Freaks a bit, I’m freaking. I didn’t know they would be this fast! What happened to 15-20 min apart in the beginning, you can try and rest between contractions, centre yourself, shave your freaking vagina!!
Anyways we decided to skip the shave- no one said anything about it. Baby came out fine 11.5 hours later :)
