RE: I Prefer Sleeping Alone – How She Found Herself Masturbating with a Cucumber

in #story8 years ago (edited)

After we met I checked in on you for a while but got distracted, which happens to me unfortunately, particularly since I kept upping the amount of people I follow right at that time.
I see the post did well....but no comments. People are such chickenshit haha! I have a friend here (on steemit) who lives in New Zealand, her husband is also here and I just recently found that out and read an article of his where there were certain jabs at Americans for their prudishness. He's not wrong, this nation for the most part seems to have their buttcheeks tightly clenched at all times. I had some chiding over the swearing going on in the novel I'm writing for steemit, and I don't think I've even dropped the 'p' word yet. Lots of f bombs though. If you like fiction you should check it out.
I'm also writing a series, if I were to use a genre I suppose it would be considered paranormal romance. Because of the awful stigma that romance still seems to have in some circles I would probably just call it paranormal fiction. However, it contains very sexually explicit material and I'm not all that confident steemians can handle it. Especially noting the No comments on this piece.
But you have the singular honor of being the first on here that I'm aware of who is tackling this subject boldly. Keep at it :)

Thank you for your comment! Yeah, there's something to be said for hypocrisy and prudishness of people, but I also feel that there are many of those who, when using word bombs, make it somewhat dirty. My goal is to talk about sex with respect and honesty. It shouldn't be something anyone is ashamed off, but it also shouldn't be used for shock value. I feel both are the sides of the same coin. Watch out for my next story - it's not so explicit, but I feel there's much more sexual tension :) I'll be sure to check out your writing and see how the community reacts. Steem on! :D
