This was a story of a Victim of Stockholm Syndrome
Source
"Honey? Breakfast is ready" I called
And an eligible bachelor looking old man in a long sleeved polo came out of the room.
"Where are you going?" I asked.
"I'll be looking for a job" he answered.
"Can I come----"
I wasn't able to finish my statement because a large authoritative voice echoed around the room saying "NO!"
I was startled. As soon as a tear swell from my right eye, he immediately cupped my cheeks.
"Hush Honey. I'm sorry. We've talked about this a lot of times already, right?"
I nodded.
"You're not allowed to go outside nor look through the window."
And once again I nodded.
"I love you Honey"
I was about to answer him when he hurriedly pushed me to the room as soon as he heard the police siren.
"Hide! Quickly! Hide!"
"B-but why? What's going on?"
"Just---"
"Mr. Barrington we know you're in there!"
Few more knocks and our door was destroyed.
The police pinned him down to the floor and a few people in formal suits assisted me outside.
After a long time, my skin and the sunlight met. The summer air filled my lungs and the crowd's noise deafened my ear. Camera flashes here, people asking over there.
I can't understand them.
What's happening?
At the station, an old woman and some matured strangers hugged me with tears in their eyes an smile invades their lips.
They called me Linda, they told me they missed me.
And everything's now clear.
What is a Stockholm Syndrome?

As I red an article regarding Stockholm Syndrome it is actually a condition that causes hostages to develop a psychological alliance with their captors as a survival strategy during captivity. These feelings, resulting from a bond formed between captor and captives during intimate time spent together are generally considered irrational in light of the danger or risk endured by the victims. Generally speaking, Stockholm syndrome consists of "strong emotional ties that develop between two persons where one person intermittently harasses, beats, threatens, abuses, or intimidates the other."
It is also considered as a "contested illness", due to many law enforcement officers' doubt about the legitimacy of the condition.
How to Cure Stockholm Syndrome?

According to this link, there are few steps on how you could deconstruct it.
Rewrite the memory with you and the person that saves you. Which is true. You are the hero, you left with no visual options came up with a very interesting solution that turned you from a Victim to a Victor.
Tear down the new false idol. Everyone's got flaws, manipulative leaders most of all. Take that person apart, give them credit where due, but see them for what they are and not some romantic idea.
Practice replaying the scenario where you behave differently in X way and get Y result. Practice till you never doubt yourself again.
You may also refer to a specialist to consult your situation.
