Thank you, @natureofbeing! I've always been a Honda-guy myself but they didn't really have anything in their line up to compare to this. This is my first Toyota and I can understand why they have such a loyal following.
Did you own a classic Beetle? I LOVE those cars. I'd like to drive one someday, in fact those would be the ideal car to convert to an EV.
The Venza's nice! A good friend of ours bought a Matrix about 10 years ago and has never done a thing to it aside from regular maintenance. He'll probably have it for another 10 years. I always buy my cars used (I look for one owner lease returns) and got a very good deal on this '16 Prius, it was almost $10k less than what it would have cost new. Thanks for stopping by and commenting!
I had a 1974 SuperBeetle from 1986-90
Eric, I thought of you last night as I was watching Jerry Seinfeld's series "Comedians in Cars Getting Coffee". He's really into old cars and each 15 minute episode begins with a rundown of a gorgeous old car of some kind and then the rest of the time is him and another comedian driving around. That show has grown on me and you may enjoy it. The short episodes are perfect for a little break. On youtube and netflix both.
Wow..what an amazing car, Ruth! It looked like it was in perfect shape too. Those Beetles have always fascinated me for some reason. I saw a perfectly restored 1960's model in aquamarine last year and had to take a picture of it. What was your impression of owning one? I've heard some legendary stories from some past owners of them.
I love that show...one of my favorite episodes was with Micheal Richards (Kramer). What a smart, funny, and extremely sad man. The word is Seinfeld is bringing back his sitcom. I hope it's true and I hope it is as good as the first one was. Hope your week is going well!
