Once upon a time, there was a prince who wanted a Princess of Kings, but the Princess had to be perfect. He then travels around the world just to find the princess, but he always finds that there is something imperfect to every Princess the King he meets.
He found many princesses, but nothing was really considered perfect by the Prince. In desperation he finally went back to his palace and felt very sad because he did not find what he was looking for.
One night there was a very hard storm; where the lightning and the thunder and the rain fell very swiftly; the night was frightening. In the midst of a storm suddenly someone knocked on the palace door, and the Prince's father who became King at that time, himself out the door open for the guest.
A very beautiful Princess stood outside the door, cold and drenched from the storm that night. Water flows from her hair and wet clothes; flowing down to his feet and shoes. The princess confesses that she is the perfect Princess. Princess and twenty mattresses "We will soon find out whether the Princess is right or not," thought the Queen, but she said nothing. She went into the bedroom, pulled out the bedspread bed sheets the Princess would wear and put a pea in the bed. Then he took twenty mattresses and placed them on a peanut. That night the Princess slept on the bed. In the morning, they asked if the Princess slept soundly that night. "Oh I'm so hard to sleep!" said the Princess, "I'm very difficult to close my eyes all night! I do not know what's on the bed, I feel lying on something rough, and my whole body aches and bruises on this morning, it's scary!" The King and Queen immediately knew that this princess must be the absolutely perfect daughter, for only the perfect princess can feel a nut placed under twenty mattresses lined with twenty blankets.
Only the absolutely perfect daughter has such a delicate skin. The Prince then took her as a wife, and now she has found the daughter she has been seeking.
