One thing I really liked about your article was the part about describing / thinking about negative events that happen to you in a more positive light. I really feel that the subconscious picks up on the negative talk in our heads, which it then uses to influence the way you think. By taking events in stride, and keeping a more positive outlook, we are able to then better improve our lives and increase happiness.

I think negative thinking is like gravitation. One should make some efforts to think positive and go away from negative. Its always our choice what side or point of view to chose positive or negative one.
by gravitation do you mean the law of attraction?
I mean gravity as metaphora , e.g. if you are in the pool and you decide to stop rowing then you probably drown. if you do nothing for being positive, then probably you will become negative.
