We know what it feels like to be a part of something when it is booming, it's so easy to convince people and dive in. So it was for me, my journey here has been a story that marvels me more than Spiderman movie. I can remember joining when Steem and SBD was enough to buy you a laptop and phone without breaking your back. Life was so easy and man forgot that life wasn't built to soothe you always.
During the boom era, I introduced someone to Blockchain as a novice. She just wanted to make money so she invested her cash through me. I bought some steem and waited to yield. Steem I bought for N1000 suddenly dipped to N300 and loss was blaring like a police's siren in my face. I tried to explain to her but she couldn't have it. It was like Airforce 1 1 again, I had to pay with my sweat. Well, it was expected. I failed woefully with DYOR and it bit my ass woefully.
The Blockchain story may have given opportunities and avenue to meet wonderful people but slowly it has been fading away. People who had been close are now far away like they are maintaining social distance. Love made turned sour and friendship became forced or beneficial. Just click one and see the consequences for yourself. At a point, I got tired and left. I couldn't hold on to the sermon and gospel I have preached about Cryptocurrency and Blockchain.
If you believe in second chances, Telos4africa actually brought it. I was fed up but the different engagements and team members encouraged me back. Also, the fact that I can earn for the little effort I put into the contest and engagement tasks. I may not be as fully committed as I was, the memories of many woes for the past 2 years can't be erased that fast. I can remember the last Meetup, seeing love and friendship all in one place brought the reminder that this is what Blockchain Technology does for us. This little ray of light from the project is encouraging and uplifting. Well, let me end this beautiful Sad story as I continue to write lyrics for Stay Safe remix by me; the lyrical genius who is furious with the mic.
Thanks to the team at Telos4africa for always engaging the community and rewarding bountifully.
A sad story with a beautiful ending, we all pray for the bull sooner than later.
